In this lesson we begin the study of the New Testament and of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel. The Son of God became man in order to save us, to show us God's love, to be our model of holiness, and to make us partakers of the divine nature. This lesson looks at Jesus' early years, from the Annunciation to Mary, Jesus' miraculous birth in Bethlehem, his childhood and humble, hidden life in Nazareth, up to his baptism and temptation in the desert.
